The Cartier Racing Awards are the most prestigious within European
horseracing.
There are eight horse awards and one for human achievement - European
horseracing's equivalent of the Oscars.
They are presented in mid-November, shortly after the end of the
European turf racing season, with America's Breeders' Cup races having
taken place the previous month and Australia's Melbourne Cup also
decided.
Racenews has acted in a public relations role for the Cartier Racing
Awards since 2001 and increased the profile of the event that attracts
the cream of the European racing scene.

The role has expanded over the years and includes advice on all
aspects of the media's involvement with the Cartier Racing Awards,
from invitations through to encouraging television coverage.
Sponsored by Cartier, with Harry Herbert the racing consultant, the
Cartier Racing Awards took place for the 14th time on the evening of
November 17, 2004, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mayfair, London.
